Business Loans Designed with the Community in Mind
Have you thought about going into business for yourself?
Do you know what you want to do? How you want to do it? And why?
We have a gentleman who'll be in the library Apr 29th, who has a background that would support your endeavors: Joseph Kornfeind is a business advisor for Rising Tide.
Rising Tide Community Loan Fund is part of Community Action of the Lehigh Valley.
Established in 2001, the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund is certified by the US Department of the Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) which provides funding and technical assistance to eligible businesses.
Rising Tide provides business planning and marketing assistance to help start-up and small businesses apply for small business loans.
Joseph Kornfeind was Associate Dean at Muhlenberg College for over 20 years and part of the business faculty. He taught courses in strategy, small business management, and leadership. Now working with Rising Tide, he enjoys helping start-up ideas take root.
In our session, he will help to step you through his "Foundations of Business Ideas" by focusing on "Personal" Questions every Business Plan Should Answer", "The What How and Why" of your endeavor; and "Motivations for Business Ventures".
You'll look at an "Entrepreneurial Skills Assessment", and "How to be More Creative".
Given this strong background, and working with Rising Tide, he is available to help set up your business or review a business plan.
You'll gain good information and be glad you joined us!

Raising children can be challenging. Things become much more complicated and confusing when substance use problems enter the picture.
It is essential for parents and caring adults to have knowledge, skills, and resources to address youth substance use effectively.
For nearly 70 years, Caron has helped thousands of individuals struggling with substance use disorder and their families begin to manage this chronic, treatable disease.
We are grateful to have the Caron specialists come to
our library to share their insights and information in two group sessions
